Personality:
Elise is the youngest of the Nohr royalty in Fire Emblem Fates, and is easily the most good-natured of all four of them (or five, should you count Corrin). Easily excited and always energetic, it's tough to catch Elise in a bad mood, and if you do catch her in one she is generally easy to cheer up, eager to move onto something else. She's frequently accused of being childish by others due to her adoration of playing around. However, while Elise's love of playing with her siblings and others is based somewhat in an honest enjoyment of the activity itself, she also has a startlingly mature reason behind it, as revealed in her A-support with Jakob: "I know what we're facing. I know I shouldn't waste time playing around. And I especially shouldn't be wasting anyone else's time. Every day, people are hurt or killed. There isn't time for us to just relax and have fun. But I can't help but want to help everyone smile as much as they possibly can. And sometimes I think if we all played just a little bit more then maybe it would help. I don't know. It just doesn't seem right when nobody looks happy." Her desire to see everyone smiling and at peace is further empathized in her supports with Arthur, when she tasks her retainer with making her too-serious eldest brother smile.

Elise's maturity is shown at other points and in other ways, as well. Even in the middle of a war Elise worries about others - in addition to healing pirates in her downtime (more about that later), Elise tasks Silas with delivering a month's worth of food she collected to a starving family at one point. She's also immediately willing to heal enemy forces they'd just fought at the request of Corrin, with immense good cheer about being able to do so. She's also fairly considerate when it comes to thinking of what others might like: when she's trying to befriend Takumi from Hoshido, for example, she tries to get the prince to play chess with her (correctly assuming he'd enjoy a strategy game) and later tries to give him books on Nohr's culture, history, and topography. Furthermore, Elise is very willing to forgive others their oversights, and occasionally doesn't even remember their transgresses or consider them to be a big deal - such as when Takumi shoved her away in their B-Support. She always finds reasons to be happy for others even if she loses out, too; in the Summer Scramble DLC, when all the royals sans Corrin are competing for a ticket for an island getaway, Elise is perfectly clear and open about her desire to go but also says that at least someone else will get to enjoy the ticket if she is defeated.

Despite the fact she can be mature and act her age, of course, Elise still really is childish without much shame at all. She adores cute things, for example, and has no trouble at all demanding her siblings play with her whenever she pleases. She teases Leo (and bickers with him, as well) and hugs Corrin and her other siblings exuberantly. She treats Keaton a bit like a puppy, because she likes dogs and thinks he's cute. She follows Benny around when she hears he eats things like MOUNTAINS and PEOPLE and is rather disappointed when this is not in fact the case. On the downside of childishness, Elise can lose her temper a little easily and has been known to burst into tears (for example, during her C-Rank with Azura she throws a temper tantrum over Azura not wanting to play with her and liking Sakura better - though she was wrong about the latter). While she doesn't really hold grudges and gets over being upset about things very quickly, it's still worth noting that she is an emotional girl. She's also easily swayed by her siblings or mentions of them - while she didn't intend to attend a war council at first, Niles mentioning Leo had attended them at her age immediately got her to go. Although it...didn't go well the first time. "Yeah! Everyone else was there, and I'm th-the only one they said should leave! It's so dumb! Dumb dumb dumb! They're all just a bunch of dumbheads! Why won't they take me seriously?! I even showed up and everything! I'm an adult, right? They should treat me like ooonnee! *sob*" Upon Niles telling her to change her attitude, Elise did so almost immediately and cheerfully told him to point out her childish ways from then on (so his trolling attempt backfired immensely there).

Her siblings are incredibly important to Elise. In fact, all of her family is - she's shown to feel some affection for King Garon (in addition to a lot of fear) - but it is her siblings who have Elise's loyalty at the end of the day before Nohr and before anyone else. Her Japanese army roster says that of the entire army, she is the one who is most considerate of her family - and this is true. While Camilla dotes and Xander worries and Leo watches, Elise tends to be the Nohrian royal who cares the most in the sense that she will try to see things from the perspectives of her siblings and in that she will outright refuse to try to kill any of them (which...cannot be said for all the siblings). She defects in every path that isn't Conquest at one point or another, usually early-ish on, and she is more than willing to take a killing blow meant for one of her beloved siblings, placing herself in mortal peril in order to stop her siblings from fighting one another. More than that, Elise's adoration and idolization of her siblings is not locked to Corrin in specific. She admires how womanly Camilla is and dyed the purple strands in her hair to match her elder sister's; she thinks of Xander as her "own personal hero"; and she admires how intelligent Leo is and asks him to teach her more about things.

Elise is a genuinely kind and compassionate girl - regardless of whether someone is Nohrian or Hoshidan she is willing to lend her aid when it is required, and only seems annoyed with Sakura and the other Hoshidans at various points in the Conquest storyline for wanting to take away one of her beloved siblings. Even taking that into consideration, Elise is the one who visits Sakura to make certain she's eating and such when the Nohr army takes the Hoshidan princess captive. Furthermore, as revealed in her supports with Xander, Elise sneaks out in order to heal a bunch of pirates who had recently been jailed after an attack on a coastal town. While her brother initially disapproves of her kindness, he reveals that many pirates had a change of heart after the young princess healed them without requiring payment or even being asked. No matter the path, Elise always desires peace; she apparently reads in her free time books such as "Fighting Wars on Dance Floors" and "World Peace through Song". If there is a route without strife to be taken, it is the one Elise would prefer to take. She is the only sibling on either side who never makes an appearance as a level boss and who never raises arms against Corrin; Elise can only be fought once in the chapter where the main Fates choice is made (Hoshido or Nohr? Or neither?) if Nohr is not chosen, and even then she won't fight back and simply pouts about it. In every route Elise ends up on the Avatar's side, prioritizing her loyalty and her belief in Corrin treading a path to peace over anything else.

Despite being kind and compassionate, however, Elise isn't a shrinking violet and she is by no means a pushover (though she is a squishy mage - she at least is a dodgetank in addition to being a squishy mage, when promoted to strategist). In the Conquest route, Elise joins her siblings in taking out Hans and Iago when they threaten Corrin's life, and Elise informs the pair that she's dreamed of beating them both to a pulp before. Her critical quotes are also fairly kickass (among them is "You're going down, scumbag!"). Furthermore, Elise tries to train herself to be a better fighter when she believes she might be a burden on the army; while she definitely is not a fan of pushups, she does as many of them as Corrin tells her to in order to try to be better able to defend herself and (more importantly, to Elise) the ones she loves best. Also, she's sometimes amazingly tactless despite the whole kind/compassionate thing. See: screwing things up at the Ice Tribe in Conquest by saying outright they were there to quell rebellions. Also see: saying straight to Laslow's face "Besides, I don't think it's your dance moves that the girls hate. It's probably just your personality!" Find your chill, Elise.

In addition to being a force to be reckoned with in her own manner, Elise is very much a brave and enterprising young lady. One of her favorite hobbies is exploring Nohr's slums and the capital's underground city in disguise, up to pulling an Aerith and selling flowers (and then donating the money she makes). This is actually how she met Effie when they were young children - Elise apparently found the palace "boring" and frequently snuck out without being caught. She was only caught that time, in fact, when she revealed herself to avoid Effie and herself getting apprehended by palace guards. That friendship with Effie inspired an undying loyalty in Elise's retainer - something shared by her other retainer, Arthur. Elise is actually quite good at getting other people to like her, though it isn't by any means deliberate. She is simply a ray of sunshine in a kingdom of darkness.

It should be no surprise that someone so determined and outgoing who is also kind and compassionate should be persistently friendly and mostly unbothered by what reception her advances are met with. Elise never seems to mind the more abrasive members of the army (Jakob and Takumi being solid main examples) trying to get her to give up and go away, but makes repeated efforts at befriending them instead, never giving up and simply cheerfully doing her own thing mostly against their will. She also easily bridges the gap made by any shyness or reserve on the other person's part. Elise is able to convince Kaze to play elaborate games of hide and seek with her (he's a very reserved ninja type) and doesn't mind Sakura's shyness in the Revelation route but instead drags the other girl into a musical duet with her upon learning Sakura played the koto. She's also able to get along with the true weirdoes int he army. While Odin gets various receptions from everyone with his...Odin-ness (MY ACHING BLOOD) Elise's reaction is to ask him to talk to her more because she enjoys Odin-speak and his stories. She's also completely unconcerned with what people might think of them talking together in "dark speak" and assures Odin that as long as they're having fun it hardly matters anyway.
Skills/Abilities:
Of the mundane variety: Elise is a skilled healer and has the skills that one would expect to go with that. She's also an excellent rider, a decent cook (with some salt/sugar mishaps), and has some archery skills from a stint in an archer class. Elise is also good at playing the violin.

Of the fire emblem variety: Elise has been classed into a Strategist from her Troubadour starting point, which means she's a mounted healer who can use anima (fire/wind/lightning) magic in addition to a healer's staves. In terms of how she is as a Strategist unit, Elise has very high Magic and Speed with great Resistance but terrible HP and Defense. This means that in her magic-based class she one-shots most enemies or at least double-attacks them, and she's pretty hard to hit as she is effectively a dodgetank. When something does manage to land a hit, however, it will probably hurt since she's still a squishy mage at heart.

Her personal skill is Lily's Poise, which grants 1 additional damage to any attack made by an ally adjacent to her and subtracts 3 damage from any attack made by an enemy on any ally adjacent to her. So standing near Elise slightly boosts your attacks and more effectively lowers an enemy's attack. Nice! Also, Elise is able to use Dragon's Veins as a princess of the Nohr royal family. It's the ability to change the battle field in Fire Emblem Fates.

Since she won't have any tomes or staves on her for her magic tricks, she doesn't really need nerfing. She'll probably be able to learn magic more easily than others might, however.
Magic Weapon: PLEASE FEEL FREE TO RANDOMIZE IF THIS DOESN'T WORK though I like the image I picked so a randomized staff off of that would be nice, I tried my best but I'm still very much winging it: Ring Around the Rosey: a staff which can erect barriers made of rose-colored light. These barriers have to be sketched in the air with the staff and then "thrown" at whatever Elise wants to put the barrier around. The barriers will be only a five-foot radius when she starts out and won't be able to be held up for more than maybe ten minutes so long as she's only doing one (she can do up to two at one at the start, but can only hold out for five minutes if she's doing that). The barriers can be used to either keep an enemy in one of the rings or keep enemies out when put around allies or herself. At full mastery, she'd be able to do multiple barriers for at least half an hour a pop, hopefully.
Carrier: This little fairy kitten. Elise will name her Lotte, and Lotte, like her owner, will be full of energy. She'll be fond of sitting on Elise's shoulders or twining around her feet (particularly when Elise is trying to walk). When Elise gets a video message, it will be projected from the red gem on Lotte's forehead. Lotte is fond of fish and cream and anything sweet she can get Elise to give her.
